DxP Socfindo SM palms function as complementary plants, supplying sufficient male flowers to support pollination in high-yielding oil palm varieties.
Supermale palms are planted as a complement to high-yielding varieties at 12 palms per hectare, evenly distributed without reducing the population of the main planting material. The standard 8.6 m × 8.6 m × 8.6 m triangular planting system is maintained to preserve optimal palm density.
